You need to invest in Australia with a legal income of $5 million, after being notified by immigration, and hold it for the duration of your 188C visa

Australia 188C Visa to 888 Permanent Residence Visa:
Continue to invest $5 million to qualify investment products in Australia for 4 years
The main applicant has resided in Australia for a cumulative period of 160 days or a spouse for 720 days
Investment Requirements:
$5 million
Invest at least 1 million (20%) in start-ups and small private enterprises in Australian venture capital and growth private equity funds
Invest in a managed fund of at least 1.5 million (30%) listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
Invest at least 2.5 million (50%) “balanced investments” into managed funds or to invest in listed investment companies in other compliant assets, including ASX listed companies, compliant corporate bonds or promissory notes, annuities and real estate
