Eternal residence

Application Prerequisite

Have a valid temporary resident status in Canada and the person is eligible to work in Canada (i.e. temporary foreign worker)
Job offers at NOC 0/NOC A/NOC B/NOC C/NOC D
Currently working in the same qualifying occupation and is relevant to previous work experience
Valid work permit
- Positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
- Graduates of Alberta’s public higher education institutions hold a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has an LMIA exemption for the following workers:
  - Workers transferred within the company
  - International Trade Agreements
  - Canadian international experience
  - People who know French in international mobility programs
  - An Open Work Permit issued by the IRCC for:
    - Vulnerable workers or workers who have demonstrated abuse or are at risk of abuse during employment in Canada
    - Family members of vulnerable workers under the VWOWP exemption
Academic requirements:
- High Chinese
- NOC 0/ NOC A/ NOC B：CLB 5
- NOC C/ NOC D：CLB 4
- Nurse Assistant, Paramedic and Patient Services Specialist (NOC 3413): CLB 7
Work Experience:
- Have worked full-time in NOC A/NOC B for the past 18 months, or 12 months
- Have worked full-time in Canada/abroad for 24 months in the last 30 months, or
- For PGWP holders, the current full-time working hours for A or B were 6 months in the past 18 months and were relevant to previous studies outside of Canada

This class is allowed to meet the minimum requirements and
Individuals working in Alberta who meet the occupational requirements apply for AINP provincial nomination

Application Procedure

Obtaining an offer from an employer in The Province of Afghanistan;
Application for LMIA (2-3 months);
Apply for a work permit (2-3 months);
Entry and commencement of work after the approval of the work permit;
After working for at least 3 months, submit a provincial nomination application;
Provincial nomination approved (2-3 months);
Apply for a PR (12-18 months).
