New Zealand has a temperate oceanic climate between temperate and cold. The average temperature in the South Island is about 8 degrees Celsius, and the average temperature in the North Island is about 16 degrees Celsius.

Economic profile

New Zealand has a well-developed economy and is a developed country. Over the past two decades, New Zealand’s economy has successfully transformed from a predominantly agricultural economy to an internationally competitive industrial free-market economy. Agriculture accounts for only 10% of New Zealand’s workforce, but its livestock industry is the foundation of the country’s economy. Half of the country’s total exports are in agricultural and livestock products. The export value of lamb, dairy products and coarse wool is the highest in the world. New Zealand has a pleasant climate, a fresh environment, beautiful scenery, tourist attractions and a rich change in surface landscape. Tourism accounts for about 10% of GDP and is the second largest foreign exchange earner after dairy.
